(Adnkronos/Dpa) - La Germania abbandona il nucleare: la decisione - anticipata nelle settimane scorse - è stata formalizzata nel corso di un vertice della coalizione di governo che si è svolto la notte scorsa. Tutti gli impianti verranno chiusi entro il 2022 e molti - tranne tre, che resteranno in funzione per eventuali crisi energetiche - verranno disattivati nel 2021.

I leader dei partiti si sono riuniti nell'ufficio del cancelliere Angela Merkel a Berlino per mettere a punto l'accordo sulla chiusura degli impianti e l'intesa è arrivata al termine di una sessione fiume durata 12 ore che ha visto la partecipazione dei leader dei partiti della coalizione - Cdu, Csu e Fdp - ma in cui sono stati coinvolti anche quelli dei Socialdemocratici e dei Verdi.

Oggi verrà divulgato il contenuto del rapporto consegnato sabato dalla commissione etica al governo, in cui si raccomanda la chiusura degli impianti entro dieci anni, con la sospensione immediata del funzionamento di otto impianti e progressiva degli altri nove.
